Jeuni Valley / Devidarh Picnic Spot

Jeuni Valley : Devidarh is the beautiful place in the dense pine forest and at one end of Jeuni valley of Gohar sub-division of Mandi District, at a distance of 57 KM from Mandi city and 4 KM Jahal Village, here you can find traditional culture and abandon with natural beauty.
You can find various water run floor houses“GHARAT” here. Devidarh has a small temple and has max of 10 houses, there is no hotel till date only guest houses are available here but this place is real Himalayan paradise for adventure lover.

Devidarh- Temple and a sloping ground  between dense forest
once they reach here they forget about other crowded hill station, Devidarh is the base of two trekking route one is Shikari Devi treks and other is Kamrunag Lake treks both the treks are moderate treks. Bike tour and camping are other adventure activities. Bike tour can be started from Mandi, Sundarnagar via Chailchowk, road is almost good upto Shalla after that 2 KM road are in bad condition and then after few KM the whole roads becomes adventurous but after Jahal you can feel that “it is difficult to drive here “!

On the Way to Devidarh
Weather & Altitude : The average altitude of Devidarh is 2650m App. due to dense belt of forest all around the area weather here is unpredictable rain will wet you any time and temperature will range from -11 degree C to 25 degree C in a year, temperature never touch the 33 degree mark here, there is heavy snow fall in the winter and this place is cut off from the outside world. As per my discussion with local guys they said last winter Devidarh received 6 feet of snowfall.
